Getting Ready to Sing

Breathing Techniques

Breathing techniques improve vocal control, stamina, pitch accuracy, and prevent strain — essential for strong, healthy, expressive singing.

Vowel Production

Vowel production is learning to shape vocal tract sounds to create clear, resonant vowels, essential for tone, pitch, and articulation.

Warming Up

Short Warm Ups

Short warm-ups prepare the voice, improve focus, prevent strain, and gently activate breath, pitch, and resonance before full singing.

Extended Warm Ups

Extended warm-ups deeply condition the voice, enhance range, flexibility, endurance, and help address specific technical challenges before intense singing.

Sight Reading for Beginners

Vocal Tongue Twisters (Grades 7 & 8)
